We have observed slower shipments during this 2024 season compared to the 2023 and 2022 seasons. Up to week 23 of the 2024 season, Chile shipped 23,071 metric tons. This is partly due to the delay in the harvest this year.
Year-to-date shipments of prunes have been faster than in the previous two years. This is mainly due to the available volume from the 2023 season, and the important demand from China. New crop ship- ments usually start in April.
